Ikky

22-year-old Canadian artist & producer Ikwinder Singh is innovating the sound of India with his own touch of worldly influences. Racking up over 2 billion streams across the globe with songs like Amrit Maan & Sidhu Moose Wala’s “Bambiha Bole'' and Garry Sandhu’s “Yeah Baby,'' his production has rattled subwoofers from the highways of India to the streets of Toronto. Ikky is now shifting to the forefront after working behind the boards with his newly launched label, 4N Records, a partnership with Warner Music India/Warner Music Canada and Coalition Music (4N is pronounced foreign).

Ikky’s production encapsulates the diversity and multiculturalism of the city he grew up in. With elements of Toronto’s signature sound of hip-hop & R&B, along with the vibrancy of Caribbean and Punjabi influences, his infectious production style was first introduced on Gurnam Bhullar’s “Diamond.” It’s what caught the attention of international megastars like Amrit Maan and Garry Sandhu who took Ikky under their wing when he was 17-years-old and continues to attract artists like Shubh, Karan Aujla, Torey Lanez, Nseeb, Diljit Dosanjh, and Himmat Sandhu.

4N Records is where it begins for anyone who feels like they live in between worlds. Ikky sits at the center where he’s building the dialogue between Punjabi hip-hop and its international counterparts; bridging the gap between worlds and helping undeniable talent in the Indian community understand income streams and the potential of their brand. The Indian diaspora is massive yet underrepresented on the global stage and 4N Records is holding the cultural flame with honor into the future. Many cultures have had their boom such as, it is now time for the South Asian community to share its colours.
