GRAE’s music can be described as a place you go to give your mind a rest. Her soft melodies and cathartic sounds provide a sense of familiarity and comfort while taking you on a journey of self discovery through acutely relatable lyrics. A fusion of 80s new wave and modern-day pop results in her unique alt-pop sound. The Toronto-based singer-songwriter expresses herself best through her deeply personal lyrics and compelling stage presence. GRAE is a multi-instrumentalist whose stage presence keeps you captivated and energized from the moment you lay eyes on her.

GRAE’s love of the oldies stemmed from her childhood, where iconic albums from the 70s and 80s were on constant rotation on the record player in her childhood home. GRAE has a wide range of influences, from Prince and Michael Jackson to Lana Del Rey and The Weeknd, which have heavily inspired her sound. Growing up in a family that shared her passion for music, GRAE always felt it was her destiny to pursue her dream of becoming an artist. As a teen, she would exercise her songwriting muscles by writing one hundred songs in her bedroom. Throughout the years, GRAE has used songwriting as a way to express herself and turn her emotions into art.

GRAE’s release of her debut EP ‘New Girl’ really put her name on the map. Following this release, her single ‘Permanent Maniac’ was named in Billboard's ‘Top 30 Pop Songs of the Year’, and the EP has garnered over 10 million streams to date. GRAE has caught the attention of popular media platforms such as Complex and Wonderland, as well as major Spotify playlists, such as Indie Pop & Chill, Indie Favourites, Outliers, and more. GRAE has also been named Apple Music Canada’s ‘Artist of the Week’. Both ‘Permanent Maniac’ and ‘Soft’ reached the Top 40 of Canadian Alternative Radio while ‘Soft’ also reached #4 on CBC Top 20.

GRAE’s devotion to self-discovery has allowed her to unlock a different side of her artistry - one that no one has seen before. Fans can expect to hear a new, elevated sound from GRAE - a sound that truly showcases her range as an artist and proves that, like most people, we are always growing and evolving.
