We Aint Terrorists is a live stand-up comedy show inspired by the real-life experiences of comedians Dave Merheje and Ali Hassan. It’s a fresh, truthful, passionate and hilarious collaboration by these two established Canadian entertainers.Dave and Ali (Lebanese-Christian and Pakistani-Muslim, respectively) explore the stereotypes, misconceptions, and misunderstandings that they regularly face, inside and outside of their own communities. We Aint Terrorists is also a socially poignant show that strives to counter the tide of prejudice that exists in this country and globally…all the while spreading the love, relatability and laughter!
BIOSDave Merheje is considered to be one of the most original stand-up comedians on the comedy scene today. He has won the Just For Laughs ‘Homegrown Comic Competition’ and NOW Magazine's ‘Best of Toronto Award’ for Best Male Stand-up, and been nominated for a Canadian Comedy Award for both Best Stand-up and Best Taped Live Performance. Now based in New York City, Dave has taken his act across the world including to Australia and China in 2017.He was a regular contributor on MTV Live and recently joined the cast of Mr. D on CBC as a new teacher. Dave also just released his own live comedy special Bad Grammar, Good Friend. www.davemerheje.comAli Hassan is a stand-up comedian, actor and writer.
