3 million streams, over 16K singles sold, and 315K+ views on Youtube, Canada’s Country music duo Petric has some incredible achievements under their belt in just three years time. Hailing from Transcona, Manitoba, Petric officially formed in 2014 after brothers Jason and Tom realized that sonically, they were stronger as a unit, blending their natural sibling harmonies with their party-rockin’, laid back vibe. Quickly finding their stride in front of ever-growing audiences, Petric never would have guessed that they would be on the road to making their dreams a reality. Recently releasing there second EP “18 Ends”, with SteelHead Music, Canadian superstar Dallas Smith’s record label/management company, the duo’s success and reputation continues to rise to the top.
When a chance performance at an industry showcase during 2014’s Country Music Week caught the attention of JUNO and CCMA Award-winning multi-Platinum Country artist Dallas Smith, and acclaimed producer Scott Cooke (Chase Rice, Florida Georgia Line, and assistant to Billboard Producer of the Year Joey Moi). This led to an invitation from Dallas to have Petric join him on the Western leg of his Canadian Tippin' Point Tour. Their debut EP “It Girl” was co-written with some of Nashville’s most notable songwriters and produced by Scott Cooke, it was released to iTunes worldwide October 16, 2015. The brothers exploded onto the Canadian country music scene with the release of their infectious single “Here Goes Everything” and were the first signing for brand new record label SteelHead Music, helmed by Dallas Smith. "The voices in Petric instantly grabbed my attention,” said Smith. “Both have a raw natural vocal talent that you either have or you don't. We’re very excited to see where their careers take them and we’ve even more excited to be a part of it."
In 2016 their nominations have included Best New Country Act at the Canadian Radio Music Awards. As the 2015 Group of the Year from the Manitoba Country Music Awards, they pulled off multiple nominations for the 2016 MCMA ‘s including Single of the Year, Group of the Year, Album Of The Year, Fan Choice and Video of the Year. Taking home both Music Video of the Year and Album Of The Year. Most recently winning the 2017 MCMA Group of the Year, and the Broadcasters Association of Manitoba’s Rising Star Award. Having shared the stage with such notable acts such as Smith, Doc Walker, Gord Bamford, and High Valley, these two brothers have taken their show from the bars in Transcona to some of Canada’s most prestigious venues and festivals.
